🇧🇾We congratulate you on International Girls in ICT Day, which is celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday of April. Held since 2011, the International Telecommunication Union's initiative has long gone beyond the calendar date.

This year, the event is celebrated on April 23 and is held under the motto: "Artificial Intelligence for Development: Girls Shaping the Digital Future."

On March 20, 2026, the third session of the Interagency Working Group (IWG) on preparations for the World Radiocommunication Conference 2027 (WRC-27) was held at the state enterprise “BelGIE”.

The session was attended by representatives of the state enterprise “BelGIE” – the competence center on preparations for the WRC, radio frequency services of the Republic of Belarus and interested government bodies and organizations – users of the radio frequency spectrum.

During the visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, Kirill Zalessky, met with the Vice Minister of Economy and Planning of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ammar Naqadi.

The ITU Global Youth Celebration 2025, held within the framework of the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-25), took place in Baku.

The event aims to engage young innovators in shaping the digital future and to connect them with industry leaders.

At the opening ceremony of meeting, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Samaddin Asadov, and Director of the Telecommunication Development Bureau at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, delivered speeches.

Today, there are more than 3,900 postal facilities in Belarus, 71% of which are located in rural areas. 
27 licensed postal operators, of which:
✅ 21 — provide mail transfer services,
✅ 6 — provide subscriptions and delivery of print media. 

In recent years, a number of IT solutions have been implemented to simplify interaction with mail: 
→ Already 6,3 thousand users are registered in the system. 
→ More than 25 thousand contracts have been concluded. 
→ Over 17 million services were provided in the first nine months of 2025! 

On October 30, the XXX International Scientific and Technical Conference “Modern Telecommunications Means” was launched at the Belarusian State Academy of Communications.

The event brought together scientists, researchers, and representatives of embassies, scientific, and educational institutions from 14 foreign countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran, Yemen, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan).

On September 18, 2025, during the 28th Congress of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in Dubai, the Republic of Belarus confirmed its commitment to the development of international postal relations. Authorised delegates from UPU member countries participated in the signing of key UPU Acts adopted by Congress that will determine the future of the global postal sector. 

The 28th Universal Postal Congress opened in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on September 8. For two weeks, Dubai will become the capital of the international postal industry.
