Representatives of the Communications Administration of Belarus will take part in the 27th UPU Congress in an online format

Representatives of the Communications Administration of Belarus will take part in the online format of the 27th Congress of the Universal Postal Union, which will be held from 9 to 27 August 2021 in the Republic of Ivory Coast in Abidjan. Congress is the supreme body of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and meets every four years. The plenipotentiaries of the 192 UPU member countries are meeting to determine the future of the postal sector.

In 2021, at the 27th Universal Postal Congress in Abidjan, the UPU member countries are expected to adopt a new Universal Postal Strategy - a roadmap for a new work cycle starting in 2022. Congress will also decide on new rules and establish a policy for the international exchange of postal items.

As part of the procedure, the member countries will elect the next UPU CEO and Deputy CEO and decide on the membership of the UPU Administrative Council and Postal Operations Council for the period 2021-2024.
