The Communications Administration of Belarus will take part in the online format in the work of the Extraordinary Session of the Administrative Council of the UPU

Today, on June 30, representatives of the Communications Administration of the Republic of Belarus will take part in the online format in the work of the Extraordinary Session of the Administrative Council of the Universal Postal Union. During the work of the Extraordinary Session, information will be provided on the preparations for the 27th Congress to be held in August 2021 in Côte d'Ivoire.

Congress is the supreme body of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and meets every four years. The plenipotentiaries of the 192 UPU member countries are meeting to determine the future of the postal sector.

In 2021, at the 27th Universal Postal Congress in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, the UPU member countries are expected to adopt a new Universal Postal Strategy - a roadmap for a new work cycle starting in 2022. Congress will also decide on new rules and establish a policy for the international exchange of postal items.
